Daily Market Report – April 25, 2025
The cryptocurrency market pulled back slightly over the last 24 hours, with Bitcoin (BTC) declining 0.24% to $93,224.24. BTC traded between a daily low of $91,660.01 and a high of $94,444.00. Ethereum (ETH) saw a sharper correction, falling 2.21% to $1,754.57 after reaching a high of $1,794.34 and dipping to $1,723.19. Despite the price dips, investor sentiment remained firm, with the Fear & Greed Index holding steady at 52, maintaining a “Greed” reading. Futures liquidations totaled $39.17 million, reflecting moderate market volatility.
Long/short positioning remained largely balanced, with BTC at 50.37% long and ETH at 49.59% long. Among the top gainers, P600 led with a surge of +36.84%, followed by PENGU at +21.21% and JELLYJELLY at +17.01%, suggesting selective strength among altcoins even in a mixed macro backdrop.
On-chain activity showed renewed enthusiasm, with total value locked (TVL) rising to $95.641 billion. Ethereum notably increased by 1.6% over the past day. Standout performers in the on-chain space included DARK, which spiked more than 32%, bringing its market cap past $40 million and nearing $50 million. DPCORE soared to a $10 million market cap within just 8 hours before settling at $7 million, and NOBODY touched $30 million before retracting to $15 million. Meanwhile, Italianrot jumped more than 65% in a single day, now sitting at a $10 million valuation.
Infrastructure adoption also expanded, with AT&T and Helium entering a commercial agreement that will allow AT&T users to automatically connect to Helium hotspots. Institutional momentum continued to build as Valereum revealed it will launch a real-world asset (RWA) digital platform in El Salvador. Meanwhile, the U.S. SEC’s cryptocurrency working group met with Onda Finance to explore compliant tokenized securities issuance—another step forward in integrating traditional finance frameworks with blockchain innovation.
