The Shiba Inu cryptocurrency has formed a partnership with the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) to integrate blockchain technology into government operations.

Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs at MoEI, noted that Shiba Inu’s decentralized solutions align with the UAE’s innovation goals. “Whether it’s reinforcing our net-zero roadmap or modernizing how we manage energy and infrastructure, Shiba Inu’s decentralized solutions align perfectly with our mission,” Al Olama stated.

The collaboration, referred to as the Shiba Inu x MoEI Partnershib, aims to advance digital governance in the UAE, which is recognized as a leading global jurisdiction for cryptocurrencies. The country is noted for its initiatives in paperless government, AI-driven policymaking, and blockchain technology.

The partnership marks the first time a government has integrated blockchain at a federal level, utilizing Shiba Inu’s Operating System™ across all Emirates.

Shiba Inu, often referred to simply as SHIB, is a cryptocurrency that operates on the Ethereum blockchain has gained popularity for its association with the Shiba Inu dog breed, which is also the mascot of the token.

The UAE has established itself as a global crypto hub, with the Dubai Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) creating a framework for digital assets and launching various crypto-friendly free zones, including the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC). This collaboration aims to enhance the UAE’s digital landscape and provide solutions that benefit citizens and the community.
